We are working around the clock to get our Android app up and running. We are happy to announce that the app should be good to go for our customers receiving units in August!
So, while you patiently wait for the app to be perfected, take a minute to learn about our Android developers. These guys have been a huge asset to our team, and we can’t wait for you to meet them.
John hails from Delaware, graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor’s and Masters in Computer Science. For the past five years, John has done nothing but Android development – he is an all-around Android guy.
John met Mike and Ryan while working as an Android contractor at Vlingo. John was working on what is now Samsung S Voice. After his time at Vlingo, John worked at Bevy, where he was solely responsible for the development of their Android app. He also is a contractor and majority owner at AgoraNet.
Sohail grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech, and worked for about two years as a Supply Chain Engineer at LeanCor. He realized his passion for computer science, and began taking data and computer science classes through Harvard Extension School. Sohail took a job with Marketing Productivity Group where he worked as a Data Engineer.
While working with Marketing Productivity Group, Sohail focused on learning Java. Android development especially piqued his interest, so he made an effort to teach himself the language (both autonomously and through Turn to Tech courses). This was what he was truly passionate about, and he couldn’t wait to embark on his new career as an Android developer. He recently joined the Sense team, and is now working tirelessly to bring you the Android app you have been waiting so patiently for.
Fadi has been our principal software engineer for about a year. He developed our current iOS app, and has been assisting in the implementation of our Android app as well.
Fadi lives in Quebec, Canada (though is originally from Syria) and graduated from Concordia University with a BS in Computer Science. His talent in software engineering led him to be Principal Software Engineer at Nuance (the company that acquired Vlingo), where he met Mike, Chris, and Ryan. There, he led the design and implementation of the voice assistant app for Samsung phones. Impressed with his skills, Mike invited Fadi to join the Sense team, and the rest is history!
We can’t wait to launch this new Android app. John, Sohail, and Fadi are working very hard, and are excited to share their work with you in August. If you haven’t done so already, please feel free to add yourself to the Android mailing list. Cheers!
